Chicago with a Side of Whopper and Fries

My first mistake was allowing my parents to set me up on a blind date. The guy picked me up and informed me that we were going to a Chicago concert. I was not that keen on the band but it was a free concert and we had great seats.

It turned out to be a total bust. My boy sat there not clapping, not singing (who doesn’t know the words to Hard to Say to I’m Sorry?) and definitely not moving, never mind swaying or dancing.

On the way home, he told me he wanted to grab food and drove up to a Burger King drive-thru. At this point, I was shocked to silence. He ordered his food and then casually asked me if I was hungry. I told him I was “fine.” After getting his meal, he drove to his house, got out of the car and made his way inside. I had no choice but to follow him.

He finally wolfed down the Whopper and fries and offered to take me home if I wanted him to. Um yeah! At my front door, he asked me if I wanted to go out again next weekend. I told him no, I didn’t want to ever go out with him again.

I heard through the grapevine that he’s now married. I wonder how often he and the wife eat at Burger King…

there is nothing wrong with fast food after a concert in substitute of more substantial restaurant. especially if the there was no agreed upon meal to be eaten with post entertainment appetite.

Maybe not the world’s greatest date but I’d say you have to be pretty superficial to consider this so awful that it needs to be posted on the Internet as your worst ever…

Sounds like a normal date night for me and my husband… different strokes for different folks I guess. :)

i agree with joey and katy. nothing wrong with a good whopper after a late running event, like a concert, especially when no plans for eating have been made.
now if he takes you to BK to start the date, or asks you to order off the value menu… then there might be a problem.

At least he asked if you were hungry. I’ve known guys who wouldn’t even do that and would just order for themselves. This really isn’t that bad.

he sounds like a weenie but not the worst…however, we all know you should never let your parents or anyone in your family set you up. Once, I did that and got a guy who was nice but a midget. No thanks folks…

Frau Blucher? I’m pretty sure the little person had the bad end of that deal.
