Kissing Susan Boyle

By now, just about the world’s entire YouTube-watching population (and then some) has fallen in love with Susan Boyle’s voice. Just in case, you’ve been on another planet or on an internet/TV/newspaper fast of late, here’s the quick summary of this sensation: Susan Boyle is the 47-year-old Scottish lass, who rocked up to the stage of Britain’s Got Talent in all her pudgy glory. And while Simon Cowell rolled his eyes and the audience prepared for a laugh, Boyle did not apologize for the fact that she did not have  - aesthetically speaking at least – star quality. She even jiggled her ample hips and noted that she had another side. That side was the fact that she is a nightingale as revealed  by otherworldly rendition of ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ from Les Miserables. 

Days into her insta-fame, Boyle has without question some solid career ops ahead of her (even if she’s given a run for the show’s top spot by adorable, dimpled 12-year-old Shaheen Jafargholi, who charmed us with Motown classic ‘Who’s Loving You Now?‘). But what of her romantic prospects? Boyle says she’s never been kissed…Well, Patti Stanger, Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker reckons Boyle needs an intellectual sort who will see her inner loveliness. Stanger’s choice for Boyle is Apple co-founder and Dancing with the Stars contestant Steve Wozniak. We also hear that Boyle has had a rather more indecent proposal to shoot a skin flick. For a fee of $1 million. Talk about options.
