Can’t We All Just Get Along?

I met a guy in L.A. and he seemed pretty normal. After two good dates I offered to take him out — my treat — on our third date. I had one glass of wine, but he decided to drink himself stupid and didn’t seem at all interested in getting to know me further. During dinner my date overheard a nearby couple discussing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and he began expressing his opinion to me loudly. Not wanting to discuss politics I tried to steer the conversation elsewhere, but he only became more vocal, ensuring that the couple next to us heard his thoughts. He then proceeded to get in an argument with them about why he was right and they were wrong. I picked up the bill, left mortified and never saw him again.



This is like a hybrid of two of my last dates with two different guys.
