I had a friend who met a guy, and two weeks later he told her he wanted to "marry her someday." Bing bing bing, warning bells going off...but friend wanted to believe in love at first sight. Guy turned into a leech; before too long she was paying his rent, paying his car payments, feeding him. He drove her friends away, isolating her as much as he could. Finally one day she walked in on him having sex with her roommate. I'm so glad that was enough to make her see the light. A guy who gets seriously fervent way too quickly is a con artist or sick in the head, not a romantic. Creep.
