Totally agree with Gian and Chell. Lady Tata and Airica need to chill out. I’ve been noticing a lot lately that women are supposed to date broke guys to prove they arent…shallow, gold-digging whores. Yeahhhh. Riiiiiight. She obviously isn’t a gold-digging whore if she put him in a cab instead of trying to sucker him out of money. Better yet, she WOULD HAVE accepted a second date if she was one.

Across millions of species, males are defined as being fit for survival (in the Darwinian “survival of the fittest” sense) by being able to provide. Likewise, females (also across millions of species) are definied as fit for survival based on good genetics to produce beautiful children…And a little bit of cheesey romanticism and/or post-modern feminism isn’t going to change that. So what if she thought he was handsome in an expensive way? It just means she has higher standards. And (after meeting her in person earlier tonight) rightfully so. A girl that fine has to keep her guard up since tons of guys hit on girls as hot as she. Besides, if it were ALL about gold-digging for her, then him being drunk wouldn’t have been so bad…she wouldn’t have coaxed him into a cab until she found out he had no money.

You guys must be low men on the totem pole. Back in the day matches were set up ONLY for status and money! So if her head was turned by someone that appeared to be a good catch it makes her a money grubbing whore? Wtf? We have to date a bum to prove relationships are ONLY about love? How about she just dates you for a while and works up some street cred, then she can get a man with a job! Hahaha!

sorry, but anyone who describes someone as “good looking in an expensive way” and is impressed because he has a money clip is a superficial person. if a man wrote this and said “she was good looking in a playboy way” and was impressed because she had double d’s, you would be down his throat calling him a pig. what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, and this chick is a gold digger. the only way this date could have been better is if he’d vomited his expensive booze on her.

The alcoholics anonymous link was overdoing it slightly I think. While he was in the wrong by being like that, he probably also thinks he had a narrow escape from the humourless woman who decided he was an alcoholic based on one pi*sed up evening!
