I don’t get it. How is that a Canadian Accent is “Eastern”. Canada spans from east to west as the US does. Well I will admit there are some variances on accents between provinces I don’t really see anything really as specifically “Eastern” unless you are living in the Maritime provinces.

“Canadian accents” aren’t Canadian, they’re Eastern. It’s like saying A southern accent is an American accent. I guarantee you that no American would be able to pick out someone from British Columbia or Alberta from a group of MidWesterners.
