I can’t believe that NOBODY here made an obvious Chris Farley reference!! Didn’t any of you see his skits on Saturday Night Live with the “Chris Farley Show” where he would slap himself upside the head and yell “GOD, STUPID IDIOT!!!”???? If I had been the OP and see this guy do that, I would have been rolling on the floor laughing!! LMAO

FWIW, I think the OP either left something out of the story or jumped to conclusions too fast. Saying “I’m polyamorous” isn’t necessarily a way of saying “I don’t have time for you”.

…at least for me it isn’t. I’m polyamorous, and routinely tell prospective partners that simply as full disclosure. But then again, I normally say it *before* anything sexual happens, unlike this apparently rather sleazy fellow. Selling personal ads? Who does that?

BTW, about the “men are more promiscuous” thing: not in my experience. My female friends are often more promiscuous than my male ones, so far as I can tell. But I don’t know what the lesbian community is like, seeing as I’m a straight man…

I’m not unsympathetic to the OP, but agree that she should have been prepared to get home herself. That’s only safe. I always have my own way to get home, especially on a first date.
